Hands Off Our Homes is happy to announce our third local meeting. This follows the success of our Seacroft meeting and our forthcoming Armley meeting. If you live in Middleton, Belle Isle or nearby and are interested in how we can stop the Bedroom Tax, this meeting is for you.
This is the second attempt to have a meeting in the area a local Labour councilor bullied our supporters to pull the venue. We’re determined that this kind of thing will not hold us back, and we are very confident that this meeting will go ahead with a good turn out.
It will be a chance to find out more about the bedroom tax, learn about the campaign so far and decide how we can stop the ‘tax’. We’ll be discussing how tenants in Middleton and their allies can build opposition to the bedroom tax and how to support those who cannot or do not wish to move. Together, we can defend our homes.
We need help promoting the meeting to get as many people down as possible. If you live in the area and are willing to lend a hand or know any people or organisations we should be getting in touch with, please get in drop us a line via the contact page.
7.30pm, Thursday 28th February
St. Cross Church, Middleton Park Avenue, LS10 4HX
