Baseline benefits means JSA/ESA plus child benefit and child tax credit if applicable. If you are on ESA (WRAG group only – the Support Group is exempt from the cap), you will in theory get LESS to pay your rent than someone onJSA, as your ESA is more than JSA and therefore uses up more of your capped allowance. So it cancels out any benefit you got from being on ESA instead of JSA. However, your ESA is due to be cut to JSA levels in April anyway!!
